Two Completely Unrelated News Items

Item 1-- from my post of December 28, 2007, quoting the caption of the above photo from STLToday:

The Rev. George Kintiba, pastor of St. Nicholas Catholic Church performs a ceremony lighting of [sic] the candle marking the first of seven days of Kwanzaa Wednesday at the Church's altar. The first candle represents the first day's principle of Umoja, meaning unity. St. Nicholas will have nightly celebrations of Kwanzaa for all seven days.

Item 2-- from today's St. Louis Review, Archbishop's Appointments:

REV. GEORGE KINTIBA, SVD, has been released from the office of pastor of St. Nicholas Catholic Parish, St. Louis, to receive a new mission from Rev. Mark E. Weber, SVD, provincial superior of the Chicago Province of the Society of the Divine Word, effective Jan. 6, 2008.

Upon presentation by Rev. Mark E. Weber, SVD, provincial superior of the Chicago Province of the Society of the Divine Word, REV. UREY PATRICK MARK, SVD, is appointed parochial administrator of St. Nicholas Parish, St. Louis,
effective Jan. 6, 2008.

(MOST REV.) RAYMOND LEO BURKE, Archbishop of St. Louis

Like I said, two completely unrelated news items.

Releasing the "pagans" one parish/institution at the time.
