Remember Matthew 16? When Jesus said to Peter, "I give to you the ballot box of the kingdom of Heaven. Whatever a simple majority declares loosed on Mother Earth is loosed in Heaven; whatever simple majority holds bound is... well, forget that-- I don't want anything to be binding. Now, go and validate every person, regardless of gender identification."

Shock: Self-described "Womanpriest" Rejects Excommunication Decree
Thanks (?) to American Papist for the link to this wonderfully comical post by self-styled womanpriest Bridget Mary Meehan. You see, the decree of excommunication issued by Archbishop Burke concerning her pals is unjust! Why? Because she thinks a majority of self-described Catholics support the notion of womenpriests.

no "(?)" required, beating me to the punch doesn't make me bitter. :)
Thanks for the helpful coverage.
The reason for the question mark was because I didn't know whether to thank you or to blame you for causing me to look at that Womenpriests blog. :)
This is terrible to be happening during Lent.
Ultimately, though, I see this as one of the 'last-gasp' attempts at 're-ordering' the Church by the baby-boomer crowd. If I was a baby-boomer, and I saw how conservative the generations are that were following mine, I'd stop all the ham-handed attempts at trying to change everything. It is, after all, the generations that come after you that will write your history on earth. This is all really starting to look like it will be a generational-thing. Yes, there were modernists throughout history, but I know of no period of Church history that a person could claim was as weird as ours turned out to be.

The last supper was when Jesus instituted the priesthood i don't remember that in the bible it spoke of any women being ordained at that time. Thank you Archbishop Burke for doing what needed to be done. especially at a time when every new catholic church is looking more and more like a protestant congregation hall, stations of the cross, statues, stained glass windows, are all being omitted and the worst thing of all is the fact that it's a miracle if we can find our Lord the tabernacle is no where to be found it's now usually in another room this is why people on sundays leave and enter church like a bunch of cattle no one pays revence any more.this is all appalling WE ARE CATHOLICS let us at as such.
