Bozek Moves to Complete Hostile Takeover: Board Votes to Dissolve Itself

Well, nobody ever claimed the devil wasn't clever.

The self-proclaimed advocate of tolerance and inclusiveness, the excommunicated Marek Bozek, has made a move to complete the hijacking of the formerly Catholic St. Stanislaus Parish.  He and his three useful idiots on the Board of Directors have voted to dissolve the Board of Directors.

Although Bozek is not allowed to vote on matters that affect his position and pay, this vote was finessed because he claims it does not strictly apply to him.

What this means in practical terms is that instead of the proper Board election procedure in August, when two Bozek cronies would be replaced, now the entire Board stands for election in a parish consisting of the few remaining Polish Catholics and hundreds of opponents of the Catholic Church and of the natural law.

This is a pretty ruthless action for a man who so consistently whines about the dreadful legalism of Archbishop Burke.  Remember his televised complaint to the effect of "I need a Bishop who is not a lawyer but a shepherd...?"  Remember, too, the constant media barrage that all poor Bozek wanted was to ensure that the parish remained governed the same way is has been from its founding--which, according to the media, was approximately A.D. 34.

But if you are looking for shame from this charlatan, don't hold your breath.

The Board members who oppose Bozek are contemplating legal action, but the chances of success for such a measure are not clear.

Hey, if you hate the Church; if you want homosexual marriage; if you want to discredit and bankrupt the Church; if you want multiple spouses of both sexes; if you demand your fifteen minutes of fame on the local TV news-- come on down and vote in the rigged August Board of Directors election at St. Stan's.  Just don't get in the way of Bozek-- his love, tolerance, peace and justice have their limits.

[UPDATE]  As things move quickly, more thoughts come to mind.  As a reader suggested to me, is it possible that Bozek will use the new Board, or try on his own, to amend the by-laws to make the necessary affiliation change for the former parish?  And all Catholics should DEMAND the local press to report on the blatant attempt by their favorite Burke-basher Bozek to steal the MILLIONS of dollars of St. Stan's assets from the parishioners.  Remember what Bozek said-- it's all about the money.  Now, the homosexual "marriage", women"priest" and married priest advocates will be able to utilize that allegedly fat bank account.  I wonder if it will remain in the bank or go towards Bozek's bachelor pad, BMW and other lifestyle expenses. Who knows?  Maybe a big check payable to the Rev. Moon.

What an appallingly sad situation, made possible by disobedience to the authority of the Archbishop.  This should be a lesson to Catholics everywhere.  Some will heed it, many won't.

From STLToday:

St. Stan board votes to dissolve itself

ST. LOUIS — In a 4-3 vote Thursday night, the lay board of St. Stanislaus Kostka church voted to dissolve itself and allow the parishioners to elect a new board at its annual meeting in August, board members said.

The deciding vote was cast by the Rev. Marek Bozek, the church's excommunicated pastor, who also made the motion to dissolve the board. All the board's members have also been declared excommunicated.

The Vatican is studying a request from St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke to laicize, or defrock, Bozek, and a recent story in the Post-Dispatch disclosed that the pastor had been in discussions to bring St. Stanislaus under the authority of Emmanuel Milingo, an excommunicated Zambian archbishop associated with the Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church.

Over the last week, the board had met two times to decide Bozek's future as the church's pastor. Both times the board voted 3-3 as to whether the priest should be fired. Bozek took matters into his own hands Thursday night and joined the board in voting for the dissolution of the board. In an interview, Bozek said he was allowed to vote because the matter at hand was not directly related to him.

Stan Rozanski, a board member who voted to fire Bozek, said Thursday's vote to dissolve the board was probably illegal.

"If there's a legal remedy here, I'll pursue it," Rozanski said. "I was elected to a three-year term by the people of this parish. My family's been a part of this parish since 1905."

Look at the consequences of disobeying our Archbishop! The Rozanski's may have been members of the parish for 100 years, but he must now let go, as it is not a Catholic parish anymore.

In contrast, the OBEDIENT Italian parish, St. Ambrose on the Hill is still going strong. They have a beautiful Corpus Christi procession every year in the neighborhood, a big St. Joseph celebration and are good, faithful Catholics. I have had family members in that parish for 98 years.

Wow that slope is getting more slippery by the day.

There is only one question that comes to mind. Are there really enough dissenters in the St. Louis Area to fill St. Stan's?

Maybe the Eccumenical "Catholic" Church of St. Clare, the transitory ever moving church of Elsie and Ree, and all the other flotsam and jetsam of the other dissenting parishes will flock to St. Stan's.

Can the place sustain itself economically based on dissenter support?

Yes. But that means selling a lot of flowers at the airport.

Keep praying for Father Bozek. Dang. That is really quite sad, maybe not surprising, but sad. It seems like something out of a Michael O'Brien book. Or maybe St. Augustine...sin is the punishment of sin?

I hope these posts about Fr. Bozek and the associated comments receive more and more readers. People forget how bad it is unless they are reminded of past events. Good job!
