Archbishop Burke Ordains Priests for the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest

From the website of the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest come these images of the ordination of two of its deacons to the priesthood earlier this month at the Institute's Church in Florence, Italy. The ceremony was performed by His Grace, Archbishop Raymond L. Burke, Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura. The ordinations took place in the Institute's apostolate Church in Florence, Italy, which is, unsurprisingly, quite beautiful.

A description from the website:

On Thursday, July 3rd, 2008, two members of the Institute received the Holy Order of the Priesthood from the hands of the Most Reverend Raymond L. Burke, newly appointed Prefect of the Apostolic Signature. The ordinands were Abbé Henry Fragelli, USA, and Abbé François-Xavier de Dainville, France. The splendid ceremony took place at the Chiesa dei Santi Michele e Gaetano (Church of Saints Michael and Gaetano) in Florence. Later that day, members of the Institute received a special visit at the motherhouse in Gricigliano: His Eminence Silvano Cardinal Piovanelli, Archbishop Emeritus of Florence, who first welcomed the Institute in the Archdiocese of Florence eighteen years ago, in 1990.

And as a final treat to St. Louis Catholics, below is a photo of the reception of His Grace at the Institute's motherhouse in Gricigliano. I believe he was treated slightly better there than he was by the local media.

Hi The Timman,

Do you know what's happened to the archdiocese web site? I went this evening to http://www.archstl.org/ and it's showing the site as "Coming soon!", under construction by Network Solutions.

No need to post this - just wanted to ask you the question.

elizabeth, thanks for the info. I did post your comment because it is a worthy question I can't answer. Hopefully just some maintenance and it will be up. I hope it isn't some sort of internet vandalism.

I take it you were there for Fr. Fragelli's inaugural Mass at the Oratory?

It was an absolutely magnificent experience. I think the use of Mozart's Spatzenmesse was a brilliant idea.
