Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope-- Update

The Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope-- Rosalind Moss' order-to-be-- received their postulant's habits at St. George parish today.  Thanks to a reader for the following link to a story about it.  I also thought readers might like to see this picture of the postulant's garb, also from the linked blog.

Note, these are not the order's habits, which will come later after ecclesiastical recognition of the order.

I had the privilege of being there this morning. Sister Rosalind (we can call her that now!) was gracious enough to give us a tour of the convent after the Mass. So many people are volunteering in many ways to restore the building and prepare the convent, donating time, labor and needed items. It is amazing to see God working to bring it all together. Thanks very much for the photo. Mark Abeln [Rome of the West] was there as well with his camera, so I'm hoping that he puts up some photos.

In the peace of Christ,

- Bryan

I understand that Rosalind's community hasn't officially begun. Not until a new archbishop comes... So she really isn't "sister" yet. I'm sure she would agree. These things take time and have to follow the right procedures. I know Archbishop Burke would agree. One step at a time....

She has a great spirit of love, energy, and inclusion that is easy to catch and want to support. I have followed her path with interest and awe. We are blessed with a special woman of God.

After meeting with EWTN's Father Joseph Mary Wolfe in San Diego (at their Media Missionaries Day), I sent Rosalind my vocation letter about 6 weeks ago. I'm 55 and am looking forward to seriously discerning a vocation in this order. She is a shining example of the new evangelization!
