Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss

The new politburo over at St. Stan's is set with the very foreseen election of John Baras, William Bialczak, Stanley Novak, Joe Rudawski, Richard Lapinski and Janice Merzweiler.

Baras, Bialczak and Rudawski were the holdout Bozek sycophants from the former Board. After the old Board deadlocked over firing Bozek, the dissolution/election strategy worked to dump the sensible members.

Catholics can take heart from the fact that the deposed Board members have the last laugh, having been reconciled to the Church and having had their excommunications lifted. To paraphrase our Lord: what doth it profit a man to gain a spot on the St. Stan's Board in exchange for his soul?

May the Sacred Heart of Our Lord melt their stoney hearts... may His Heart refine those who have destroyed those who the Lord has sent to tend His vineyard.

I truly believe that so many of the parishoners of the St. Stan's corporation realize that this is not the Catholic Church that their fellow countrymen St. Maxillian Kolbe and John Paul2 fought and bled and died for.

As that great champion of democracy, Joze3f Stalin, once said, "it is not those who vote who have the power, but those who count the votes." It seems we've found a reincarnation of Uncle Joe in Marek Bozek.

There are some serious heavy hitters in that all-star class picture.

I am having trouble following the logic of the Archdiocesan effort. It appeared that they accepted the old by-laws which would abide the status quo ante which His Eminence rejected as unacceptable leading to the sanctions and bedlam. Now they accept the status quo? Why all the angst if the status quo was/is acceptable? Why get involved in their elections only to tell the responsible people who want to take back their Board from the heretics and miscreants they must withdraw from the election? Wouldn't the whole dilema have been solved if 4 wanting to heal the schism took back the majority? I am wondering if there are more prudent methods to save the faiths and legacy of the well-intentioned parishioners.
