Info on the Notre Dame Protest
Sent by a reader-- click here. There is quite the movement afoot to protest the selection by leftist semi-Catholic leaders of Notre Dame to ask our ersatz President to give the commencement address.

THETIMMAN, THANK YOU
TheTimMan, thank you for all you do.
You are providing an excellent, valuable service to St. Louis Catholics and to Catholics across the country and around the world.
This is without a doubt one of the best Catholic blogs in the blogosphere. Maybe THE best. Period. No debate.
It it were my call, I'd recruit you to edit the St. Louis Review.
Your readers, I think, should find some way to express a meaningful thanks to you some time.
Javier
So Father Jenkins is a leftist, "semi-Catholic" leader because he invites the President of the United States to speak at commencement. Does your arrogance know no bounds?
Javier, thanks, but you may be a minority of one on that one.
TGL,
1. Yes.
2. No.
As the head administrator at a large university in the midwest, he is to be lauded for securing the commitment of the President of the United States.
As a Roman Catholic priest and president of the leading Catholic university (named in honor of our Blessed Mother, no less) the honoring of Barack Obama is antithetic at the highest level.
The last thing the young minds at Notre Dame need is Obama pontificating his thoughts. They need good, orthodox teaching of their own Faith. They should be scandalized and ashamed that their University should give a platform to an abortion advocate. I am so sorry for the Notre Dame students. Pray for them and the President that he will change his ways.
