Institute News

Last Saturday, the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest welcomed His Eminence Franc Cardinal Rode, Prefect for the Congregation for the Religious, to ordain six new deacons at the Institute's motherhouse in Gricigliano.

The above photo is of Cardinal Rode, flanked on his right by Canon Karl Lenhardt, formerly Rector of St. Francis de Sales Oratory, and (I am kindly informed) Canon Joseph Luzuy, of the Institute's Apostolate in Rome.

In other Institute news, it seems they have gained a new apostolate in the Emerald Isle.  A modest beginning, perhaps, but the Institute continues to be blessed with sure and steady growth.  For now, they offer the traditional Mass once a month, but with God's blessings this apostolate surely will grow.  We know the sacred music there will be first rate, as Canon Wulfran Lebocq, who heads the Institute's sacred music efforts, is the Chaplain.  For a sample of his excellent work, click here.

Please keep these holy priests, religious and oblates in your prayers.

Timman,
The priest on the Cardinal's left is Canon Joseph Luzuy currently stationed at the Institute's apostolate in Rome.
