Psalm CXXX

1301A gradual canticle of David. Lord, my heart is not exalted: nor are my eyes lofty. Neither have I walked in great matters, nor in wonderful things above me.canticum graduum Domine non est exaltatum cor meum neque elati sunt oculi mei et non ambulavi in magnis et in mirabilibus super me
1302If I was not humbly minded, but exalted my soul: As a child that is weaned is towards his mother, so reward in my soul.si non proposui et silere feci animam meam sicut ablactatus ad matrem suam ita ablactata ad me anima mea
1303Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.expecta Israhel Dominum amodo et usque in aeternum

"I walked in great matters, nor in wonderful things above me."

This quote reminds me of that other quote from the bible where Jesus says something along the lines of "If you go to a banquet, sit in the lowest spot, and then the master will say sit on the highest spot instead of: Get out of that seat your serpent, go to the worst in the hall."

Last time you went all "psalmy" on us, it was when Archbishop Burke was leaving. Does this mean an important announcement is forthcoming?

This canticle goes well with Msgr.'s homily yesterday.

Here's hoping all the Tim-men are feeling better today!
