Nice. I'm from that diocese. I've not heard of him before so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe he's a new Burke!!! :)

Note to Timman: that previous post was from a different blogger profile of mine, could you please delete it for me.

Timman,

Can you actually read that? Or did you find an english translation? I'm learning more and more about you through this blog!

B. Cordileone is excellent. He's a staunch supporter for Life who actually shows up at pro-life rallies, prayer processions, and other front line events. He regularly says Mass in Latin and is a strong voice in the Reform of the Reform liturgical movement -- back to Latin, Chant, sacred polyphony. He was a very outspoken proponent of Prop. 8 which outlawed gay marriage. He's everything a Bishop should be. We're going to miss him here in SD. But I'm glad the Bay Area is getting such a strong voice for authentic Catholicism.

I think it is hopefully Vasa but probably Vann.

cmziall,

italian is not hard to read if you have some knowledge of spanish or latin. I have more of spanish than latin. also making it easier is the nature of the announcement itself.

If seeing is believing, Shawn Tribe of the New Liturgical Movement published this too.
