Still on the Horizon

Thanks to the readers who sent me this link to an STL Today story that discusses what many have already posted about the dangers that FOCA presents to Catholic hospitals. Peggy over at Southern Illinois Catholics linked to it earlier, as well.

The reason I wasn't going to post on it is contained in one paragraph from the article:

Rep. William Lacy Clay, a Roman Catholic, and Rep. Russ Carnahan — both St. Louis Democrats — were co-sponsors of the legislation. Neither responded to requests for an interview. Bishop Robert Hermann, acting head of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, was unavailable for comment.

The dangers from FOCA are real, if this thing is passed. Prayer and Catholic action are needed at every step.
