Can You Imagine?

OK, one more before paying work intrudes. Can you imagine being a resident of the Manhattan area, having lived through 9/11, and then seeing this? Unbelievable.

Yes. This is totally not a great thing that happened. I heard like that the Mayor of New York didn't hear about it because the white house said to be quiet...

This has to be a record for stupid things in the first 100 days. Is anyone keeping score?

This brought tears to my eyes, as I remembered the horror of our country being attacked in 911.

Good thing a Republican didn't do such a stupid, thoughtless, thing, or they would have had to resign from all of the investigations and media hype it would have received!!!

C'mon, for God sake, the evidence that 911 was an inside job is overwhelming. In any case you can't collapse towers of reinforced concrete and steel by crushing what amounts to big aluminum cans on them, and no conventional fire can melt much less vaporize steel. But don't take my word for it, find out for yourself. Quid est veritas?

Anon, your post betrays an ignorance of physics. The claims of the 9/11 truthers were dissected and refuted point by point by Popular Mechanics. The "veritas" is there for those who will see and think.

I disagree 100% with you. Number one, our nation's president back then was a Republican and a Christian.

But also, you have to remember, the planes were loaded with enough fuel for a trans-ocean flight.

And you call these big aluminum cans: these are nothing of the sort--they were gigantic airplanes and what is more, they did not crash into the base of the towers, but rather into the upper stories.

Crashing into the upper story of the tower (remember how tall they were) causes the entire tower to wobble around, the fire in the upper story causes the tower to be weakened. Once a layer collapses, it starts a chain reaction which causes the rest of the tower to collapse.

By calling 9/11 an inside job, you are saying that President George W. Bush (Republican and Christian) was a terrorist and imply that Obama.... I'll leave it at that....

Use a little common sense though: why would the government do such a thing? I'll list your possible answers:

1.) They want oil... so what... we could always use nuclear power

2.) They want to get in a war with Iraq/Iran.... why would they want that? It's not like they were trying to cover anything up.... Clinton would be the person trying to cover stuff up... not Bush....

Well, hopefull this comment will get posted, but anyway, I seriously can't believe you think 9/11 was an inside job.

Anonymous,
I guess the Discovery Channel was part of your conspiracy as well. They put out a two hour documentary on the construction of the buildings and the amount of intense heat that the jet fuel would have burned at. If it hadn’t been for unusual exoskeleton of the building, everyone in it would have died.
It is great that the right-wing extremists are able to buy off the media so easily and promote whatever propaganda they wish. It worked so well in the last Presidential election.
I know the military war machine has always been able to throw together a good little conspiracy when they want to spend a few billion dollars on weapons. They did so well with JFK, Flight 800, John Lennon and the moon landings.
I heard the real reason Air Force One was flying over New York the other day was so that it could spread the swine flu virus. You might want to look that one up.

To the Anonymous who hasn't a leg to stand on,

It is just so amazing that many people, even ones whom I think are usually clear thinking and intelligent, would believe the stupid, unproven idea that George Bush is a mass murderer!!

Just think how amazing he must have been to mastermind the Muslims to be on the planes at the same time he killed thousands of Americans! And the interesting thing is Clinton must have been in cahoots with the Muslim terrorist too, because Khalid Sheik Mohammed bombed the Trade center in 1993, and let's not forget the USS Cole attack and the bombing of the US Embassy in 1998!

I guess our EVIL presidents are paying off these terrorists to attack our country! These Muslims have such a good, PEACEFUL religion and they have NO reason to kill innocent Americans. But the President of the US has so MANY great reasons!!!

What really amazes me is that you think American-loving George Bush would do such a thing! He isn't Obama you know. He also is HATED by liberals and the media, so if he did commit a mass murder, do you really think he'd get away with it!

Up until Obama, we have always been able to trust our presidents and hold our head high, because this is not IRAN, or North Korea, or Cuba. We actually have freedom in America and nobody can get away with murdering our citizens!

I just love a 9/11 food fight. One more reason the DHS loves Saint Louis Catholic!

Latinmassgirl said...

Timman,

I wouldn't equate rational, intelligent people defending their country as childish children who would have a food fight.

I also don't think you'll find many people who can rationally defend the twisted, unproven idea that George Bush blew up the Trade Center.

Wow, even I'm shocked by the really poor caliber of these responses. I can't help but recall another mass murderer, and I guess christian, Winston Churchill when he stated that the best argument against democracy was a five minute conversation with the average voter. Maybe he had a time portal with internet access to this blog.

One of the things that has so often struck me as odd is that so many "Christian Conservatives" and "homeschooler" types who would never simply accept the Government/Media approved stories on evolution, global warming, vacccinations, one world order, Roe v. Wade, the Amero etc. etc., seem so willing to blindly swallow the very dubious "Official" conspiracy theory of 911. It's as if they only trust our government in matters pertaining to war and the reasons for war, which are probably the most likely areas for any government to lie about.

Hmmm, with the introduction of Winston Churchill's name into the conversation, I think I'm beginning to see "Anonymous's" quasi-thought process: Western leaders who respond appropriately to attacks by terrorist mass murderers are "mass murderers"; verifiable mass murderers -- like, say, Hitler -- don't count.

Anon, trust me, pal, the nature of the comments you elicited were far superior to the original empty-headedness of your Truther comment. The Truther claims have been proven wrong by scientists, not politicians but scientists. You were given solid references to look into if, in fact, you were actually interested in "veritas". Your return comments are inane and of no value.

Scientists, they'll tell us what to do. Yes we can trust the scientists, unless it's about evolution, or eugenics, or global warming, or pandemics, or the population explosion (remember that one?), or the supply of fossil fuels, or killer bees (another oldie but goodie.) Look, in America science trumps religion but politics trumps science!

Anonymous,

How do you explain the other attacks from the Muslim terrorists on our country in previous years that MP talked about? Those were a government set ups as well? What possible reason would George Bush have of killing our citizens? The stupid oil theory didn't pan out, as we never took their oil like we easily could have after Sadam.

I have to say that if Bush planned this attack, he poorly planned where and what he would be doing when the tragedy happened. You would think he would have arranged a more presidential looking time, instead of him reading books to school children. The media really had a field day with that one!

I wonder if you believe that the white man spread aids to kill the black man as Reverend Wright does?

Didn't we decide that if someone doesn't leave their name their opinion cannot be taken seriously!
If we can't believe a canon lawyer then we must now choose to ignore Mr. Anonymous.

Dear Anon #1...I'll admit that 9/11 was an inside job when you admit that the swine flu is this administrations attempt to force us into socialized medicine.
Anon, too.
