Makes Sense to Me

OK, you want to be President of the United States. The media loves you. Your party loves you. Everyone outside of the U.S. loves you. You run against an incumbent party that is at its lowest approval rating ever, and which party has nominated a man his own party dislikes intensely.

Cue Hail to the Chief, right? Nice and easy.

Easy, that is, if in fact you are a natural born citizen of the United States, as the Constitution requires in Article II, Section 1.

Hey, no problem, you were born in Hawaii.

But wait-- lots of "crackpots" make the accusation that you were born in Kenya. Your relatives let slip that they think you were born in Kenya. Other official documents issued in your boyhood years list Kenya as your birthplace. People start bringing lawsuits alleging you are not eligible for the office of President of the United States.

But hey, no problem-- because you have two options to settle this issue:

1. Spend $15 to get a certified copy of your Hawaii birth certificate and give it to the press for everyone to see.

2. Spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on lawyers to defend the lawsuits, put a gag order on your family, tell the sycophantic press that you don't want it covered, provide an unauthenticated xerox of what you say is an Hawaiian birth certificate that doesn't match the template for Hawaii birth certificates issued in the year you claim you got it, and fail to provide the original.

Which would you choose?

Do you get all your "news" from World Net Daily? You know that's not a news source, don't you?

When you've got nothing else, attack the messenger.

Tell you what, though-- I will debate the newsworthiness of WND just as soon as you either produce the birth certificate, or prove the army did not rescind that order. Fair enough.

Timman,

You're going to upset TGL, now.

----
I will add seriously, TGL has a son deployed in the middle-east. I often pray for TGL's son's safe return and thank him for his service. I thank TGL for producing such a son for this country.

It is still amazing how the state-run media and Obama's cronies are working so hard to cover-up Obama's birth as foreign born.

If he was born in the U.S., he would appear before Congress as Cheney did right away to show proof and end any scandal. Congress knew that Cheney was the son of military, but questioned him. Why not Obama?

I think all of the soldiers should refuse to obey orders from an illegal president as well to force Obama's hand.

LMG: Do you mean McCain, not Cheney?

Thanks Peggy! McCain is who I meant. I need to get more sleep!

I hear ya! I stay up way too late for a mom of young kids.

Do you think his birth certificate is stashed in the same vault that holds "W's" National Guard records?

Hey, 8 million more Americans voted for him than that other guy. And there was no change in the Supreme Court that handed "W" the election a few years earlier. Why would the SCOTUS, which seemed so very Republican then, suddenly become so very Democratic?

Or ... is it simply because our SCOTUS didn't find anything wrong here, which is why they threw the case out?

Bush was a legitimate president, and the media recounted the Florida votes and found it to be so, much to their chagrin. Gore tried to steal the election, as Al Franken recently did in Minnesota, and the Supreme Court simply followed the rule of law. Get over it!

Your right that many of the American people voted for Obama and now they have only themselves to blame as he dismantles our freedoms and prosperity.
