The Haiti Earthquake

Drudge Report's headline: "Hell Came Up". Says it all.
From the UK Mail:

Haiti earthquake: Bodies piled up on the streets as disaster leaves 'thousands' dead

Red Cross fears around three million people affected by 7.2 quake

Up to 100 UN staff including believed dead after headquarters collapse

Charities launch emergency appeals to help stricken survivors

Presidential palace crumbles, hospital collapses and houses swept away

Britain sends emergency team as Obama vows 'unwavering' support

God help them. Remember them in prayer and in charity.

Please pray for our friend Dee who is there. She went down Christmas Eve and we heard today that she is alive, but hopefully we will get her home safely, knowing Dee I'm sure she won't be planning to come back early. I'm sure she is working nonstop now, if she is able. She goes 5 or 6 times a year to help.

We also pray for His Excellency Monsignor Miot, Archbishop of Port-au-Prince, as well as the priests and seminarians who were among the many killed.

Why put 'unwavering' in apostrophes like this in your last sentence?

Are you seriously doing what I think you're doing, even with this situation? Doesn't look like the Blessed Mother is giving you her maternal guidance on this one.

Anonymous, the apostrophes are in the original. Perhaps you should 'seriously' pause before making this accusation.

Wow. That worked out perfectly for you. Knock the president (for lying and making empty promises even about the Haiti crisis) while conveniently being able to say "what, I didn't write it. I'm only cutting and pasting."

Are you a psychopath? I mean, really.

I'm glad you're posting these

Anon,

Did it occur to you that maybe the author of the Obama headline was quoting him in his use of the word "unwavering" and therefore intended to show that he was quoting Obama? Americans are REALLY bad at punctuation, so it should be no surprise that the author used the wrong thing. Come on, dude.

Anon #1 probably did jump to an incorrect conclusion IN THIS CASE, but in his defense, Obama's name has never before appeared on this blog without being accompanied by criticism, laughter, ridicule, or outright vehemence.

just sayin' - and you're point is? are you just sayin' that obama is unworthy of criticism? this is a Catholic blog let me remind you. our current leader is in favor of child killing. he is planned parenthoods poster child. he thinks that teaching elementary school children about homosexuality is acceptable behavior. he thinks that lying is acceptable behavior. there is a difference between outright vehemence and truth. God will not be mocked. hope? Jesus Christ is my hope, not obama, he is the anti hope.
