TODAY, Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, relics of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta will be on display and available for veneration at Saints Teresa and Bridget Church, 2401 North Grand, St. Louis MO 63113. The Missionaries of Charity are able to bring several relics of their founder, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, to St. Louis. The items include her sandals, a Crucifix, and small blood and hair relics.
Mother Teresa founded the order of nuns in India in 1950, with a mission of caring for the poor. Her work earned her a Nobel Peace Prize, as well as other humanitarian honors, and her order grew worldwide. After her death in 1997, she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. Several Missionaries of Charity work in North St. Louis City, helping minister to the poor and needy.

Dear timman,
Thanks for the post. A contingent from SLU was able to make the short drive to SS. Teresa and Bridget in order to venerate the relics. Without your news, we would have missed it.
