Welcome Wagga Wagga, New South Wales

I just wanted to send greetings to the reader who just checked in from Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia.

I just thought that sounded too cool.  Cheers to the sunburnt country!

Very cool. Oz is a wonderful country! There are some fun sounding Aboriginal names of towns. Wollongong is my fave. I've been to Oz on business and personal travel.

Wagga Wagga used to be the heart of orthodox Catholicism in Australia under the former Bishop Brennan. It had a flourishing seminary- I'm not so sure how it is flourishing since he had to step down due to illness a few years ago.

By the way my family come from a small wheatbelt town in Western Australia called Dumbleyung.

Wagga Wagga ( Pronounced WOGGA WOGGA) is a bit like the Mid West. The Old Mass is celebrated there are by Australian standards (not US) the small seminary is passable but as is the case in lands where the earlt priests were ALL Irish the Novus Ordo is banal. There is a website for Wagga Wagga Seminary and Wagga Wagga Diocese.
