The Drudge Headline Says It All

But of course, this is all part of the long-term plan.  The goverment's goons will "keep us safe", whether we like it or not.

Yea, I think a Catholic nun is a real threat to national security. Does that agent have on a head scarf??? Beyond words.

Airports are only the beginning really. Post Offices and any government agency, national park or monument are next. And then after that, trains, schools, ballparks. The same argument over national security can be applied.

And there is plenty of outrage over all this but unfortunately people's attention will eventually go elsewhere and they'll get used to it. They won't, under the law, protest this usurpation of their fourth amendment right, not to mention the right of basic human dignity. No thinking human being would ever subject his children to physical and visual groping by anyone.

I agree. We should stop all this security nonsense and take our chances with hijackers. There's no way 9/11 could ever happen again.

Anon, though you mean your comment sarcastically, I totally agree that we should "take our chances" and ditch TSA security. TSA does not exist to protect us; TSA has not caught any terrorist before the fact. It is a mechanism of state control; it is kabuki theatre.

No security regime can stop another major attack. It is a matter of time only, and the method will likely be different. The TSA is for show; even if it weren't, it is "fighting the previous war", in that it seeks to prevent only those things that have already been used.

Those who struck on 9/11 are determined to have their way, and you cannot police the entire nation, coast-to-coast.

An unpleasant reality for us to face, perhaps, but I would rather be free and unsafe than a serf and unsafe--this is he only real choice we have in this life.
