Magnificent time last night at the Oratory of Ss. Gregory and Augustine with Cardinal Burke. Overflow crowd at Benediction, with the good Cardinal staying very late to speak with all who wanted to greet him.

Ad multos annos!

I hope someone takes some photos and that they can be posted on SLC. Some of us can't make the drive, even though we want to be there.

Wouldn't Cardinal Burke make a wonderful first American Pope?

it was so gorgeous. i think the SFDS choir sounds more beautiful than our archdiocesan one at the cathedral basilica. no lie. his eminence ordained my brother a permanent deacon a few years ago, and graciously spent an hour with me at his residence a couple years ago to discuss my own ongoing discernment, as well as the work of our *courage* apostolate / local chapter (to whom he has been a spiritual father). he's humble and kind, yet possesses a lion's heart for Truth. i continually thank our Lord there are men like Cardinal Burke who allow God's grace to radiate to the rest of the world.
