Solemn High Mass at St. Francis de Sales Oratory, 6:30 pm, followed by procession to Altar of Reposition, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until midnight. Confessions begin at 5:30 pm.
It should be incredibly beautiful, as usual. If you haven't been to the Oratory, consider this your invitation.
May you and your family have a blessed and spiritually fruitful Triduum.

Since I am in St. Louis this week, I took my 1949 edition of the daily missal, walked into the church and found a place to sit.
Alas the acoustics were terrible. I could not hear the priest when he was turned toward the altar. It was difficult to understand him when he was turned toward the congregation.
Is this always the case? I hope not. I prefer to listen to the latin as the priest reads and prays.
I am used to attending a smaller church where voices are heard whether the priest faces the altar or the people.
What mass was chanted tonight?
