Regina Coeli Creations

As regular readers of this blog know, I maintain the position that the immemorial custom that women cover their heads in Church is still obligatory under canon law.  This post from the famously anonymous Unknown Canon Lawyer X remains unrefuted, though Cardinal Burke's private correspondence has lately been somewhat misleadingly used to make a stir on some other sites.

Be that as it may, whether required or merely highly laudable, those who wish to maintain the custom have another resource at their disposal.  I have already linked to Veils by Lily at the sidebar, and now Delena, whose blog I love to read, has begun an enterprise to provide head coverings apart from the usual mantilla.  She calls them "snoods", which frightens me just a little.  You can see one of them in the photo above.  Her new site is called Regina Coeli Creations, and I am happy to link to it also, at the right sidebar.

Maybe one day Veils by Lily and Regina Coeli Creations will merge as part of a leveraged buyout by one of Trump's kids, and in their press conference announcing their billion dollar parachutes they will wistfully wonder about "whatever happened to thetimman? We remember he linked to us in the early days..."

I see I'm not the only one bothered by the word "snood." I've tried thinking of another word, but nothing really springs to mind. :-)

So, "snood" it is.

Thanks for the shout-out!

I agree with you, Tim. Once the head coverings come off, it's Sodom and Gomorrah all over again. If the Muslims do one thing right, it's keeping the inferior females corralled in a separate place inside their worship space.

Long pants, no doubt you saw the report where a Hasidic newspaper removed the images of the two women from the White House photo of members of the security counsel watching something related to bin Laden.

You should feel safer now. :)
