The washing of the feet ceremony was omitted (Maundy Thursday). Was this done at some point in the day outside of Mass or did we miss something? Ann Non
Ann Non, Traditionally, the washing of feet was done at the cathedral and in religious orders during one of the hours. I used to know more particulars but Gueranger covers it well, and maybe fisheaters.com might. It was not normally done in parishes as is common today.
