DAVID'S
LINE

Maundy, misty, night.
Gray shadows 'fore the white.

In silence stripped to wood.
Bared-hard for fifth day, Good.

Then blackest as dawn breaks,
Bursts Light and Limbo wakes.

Where militant, suffering bound,
Reached Church triumphant's ground.

David's line...Abraham, Sarah.
Coeli et...Domini est terra!

The washing of the feet ceremony was omitted (Maundy Thursday). Was this done at some point in the day outside of Mass or did we miss something?

Ann Non,

Traditionally, the washing of feet was done at the cathedral and in religious orders during one of the hours. I used to know more particulars but Gueranger covers it well, and maybe fisheaters.com might. It was not normally done in parishes as is common today.
