Pope Calls on Catholic Educational Institutions to Embrace Catholic Identity

And that means catchesis.

I realize this isn't a new call, but the recent push in the Archdiocese to boost grade schools comes to mind. Saying that your school is Catholic isn't enough. It must impart the Catholic faith, not an ersatz spirituality.

It will be a true step forward if our schools brought back the catechism, and provided students Mass in the Extraordinary Form.

The problem for many schools is that they're afraid it would actually work.

Before we jump into Mass in the Extraordinary Form, it might be best to have the students go to Mass on a regular basis. Rumor has it some schools only have Mass once a month. And all that other stuff that is so old fashioned, you know the Rosary, Adoration, etc.
