Q: Which political party protects your human dignity, Constitutionally protected freedoms and your civil liberties?
A: It's a trick question. The answer is Neither, or more accurately, there is only one party: the Government Party.
Here is an article sure NOT to convince Methodist Jim but which seems to me to say, in 8th grade-level English, that drones will "certainly" be flying over domestic airspace by government officials-- in this case, the article focuses on D.C., but mentions other areas as well. This is all thanks to a law Congress passed allowing the FAA to authorize drone
But surely this Great-Leader power grab passed over the 'no' vote of every patriotic, freedom-loving Republican, you say? Not so much. My favorite line from the story gives a glimpse into our one-party system:
Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, said in the same letter he "proudly suppported" the FAA Modernization and Reform Act that allowed for the domestic use of drones. There are many institutions in his home state that the FAA has cleared for done use, including Texas A&M University, and the police forces in the city of Arlington outside Dallas-Fort Worth and in Montgomery County near Houston.
