A Present from Our Lady: The Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer Granted Canonical Status

The former Transalpine Redemptorists, now known as the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer, sought reconciliation with Rome in the wake of Summorum Pontificum.  While this reconciliation occurred quickly, the community, headquartered on Papa Stronsay, were kept waiting a bit for official canonical recognition.

That wait is over.  The Bishop of Aberdeen has today erected the community as an Institute of Clerical Life of Diocesan Right.  Solemn profession is set for August 22, 2012, the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Congratulations!

Indeed this is wonderful news for the Church. Curious ... are the contents of the 'Formula of Adherence' referred to in the Decree publicly available?

This is VERY BLESSED news!

The only bit of information that I would like to pass along is about the Purgatorian Archconfraternity. Beautiful daily Tridentine Masses offered for the members. Please take the time to go to this link and read about it. I promise, it is something you will want to do for you and your family. Maybe others too. :)
