"I will be refraining from any further analysis of the Papal election until I have spent some time in prayer and receive spiritual direction." I guess pictures don't count as analysis.

Just teasing thetimman.

There are a thousand things many of us would like to say right now. After I watched the announcement, and recieved the papal blessing, I went straight to the nearest Catholic Church. I found I had to apologize to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament for being sort of sad. I don't have any answers, but I trust in the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred heart of Jesus... and the Holy Spirit, and God Our Almighty Father, and St. Peter, and St. Francis of Assisi, and St. Francis de Sales, and St. Francis Xavier, and St. Ignatius Loyola, and St. George, and St. Joseph, and St. Michael...well, in short, I trust in that great Mystical Body of all the angels and saints.

Not that I'm all "care bears" though. Perhaps, maybe right now it isn't so important to have good feelings and pleaseant emotions and happy vibes, but perhaps it is vitally important, for the good of the Church and for our own souls, to command our wills into Obedience, Charity, and Humility.

AD MAJOREM DEI GLORIAM.

Somebody, please, tell me what is up with this picture of colorful little chubby cloud-bears, which shows up here time and again without accompanying explanation.

I guess I'm dense, but I invariably fail to get it -- whatever it is. I like that they'e hunting for Easter eggs, though :-)

Jane: I guess I'm a little dense too because I have wondered the same thing when this image shows up. I don't get it. What's the inside joke?

Ladies stop worrying, you're not missing a thing. There's no joke, there's no it, there's nothing to get. This guy is like Los Angeles, there's no there there.
He's probably curled up in his kneehole with a Jane Austen book and some chamomile tea.

Thanks, X, you are a real piece of work.

My daughter Anna saw the Care Bears and asked, "Whom did you offend now?"

I simply responded, "I'm like Los Angeles. Pass me the tea."

Best comment section ever. Ah, needed that laugh. I'll join you for some of that tea. :)
