Matthew 23: 33

Canon Avis' sermon on anger seems appropriate today, as the Supreme Court, as expected, struck down the federal Defense of Marriage Act. You see, if the Court can invent a right to kill babies in the womb it can invent a right to solemnized sodomy.

God will not be mocked forever. If Mary does not act on our behalf, we have no hope of escaping the full weight of His wrath.

Why should this nation hope to escape where Sodom did not?

Only Christ's mercy through the hands of the Mediatrix of All Graces can save us from disaster.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

The sacrament of unity between a man and women for the procreation and education of children must now be held firm within the Church. Let us pray the HOLY SPIRIT for fortitude.

I had the same thoughts about the opportune-ness (?) of that homily on this dark day.

May God have mercy on us.

Our Lord will not be mocked indeed, and all of history proves this point. Until Russia is properly consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart, we will see neither resolve, nor peace. How difficult is it to take a lesson from King Louis XVI and the whole of France? From the footnotes of FatimaCrusader.com:

A reference to Our Lord’s command that the King of France publicly consecrate that nation to His Sacred Heart. This command was conveyed by Our Lord to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque on June 17, 1689, as part of a series of apparitions the Church has officially proclaimed worthy of belief. For 100 years the kings of France failed to heed the command. Finally, on June 17, 1789 — one hundred years to the day after Our Lord’s unheeded command was given — King Louis XVI was stripped of his authority by the Third Estate, and shortly afterwards was imprisoned. He attempted to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart in his jail cell, but without a public ceremony the attempt was unavailing. King Louis went to the guillotine, and France was convulsed by the French Revolution.

Ominous that the 100 year anniversary of Fatima is 4 years away.
