Archbishop Carlson Celebrates Mass in a Packed Cathedral to Conclude 'Fortnight for Freedom'

The full story is at STLToday. An important event, both for the faithful and their shepherd. It is essential that Catholics maintain unity and defiance to the agenda of death. Though I am still irritated by the focus on "religious liberty", as I have posted many times, the effort to energize Catholics to resist the HHS mandate is a good thing.

The money quote from the article:

Carlson quoted Pope Francis who, speaking about gay marriage in his native Argentina, said, “We are not talking about a simple political battle” but “a destructive pretension against the plan of God ... a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.”

Do you know when our current Pope said those words in Argentina? I wonder why he hasn't spoken out since he's been Pope. Or has he?

I was very happy to see the good turn out.
