Dear God, I thank You for those moments of clarity, when a small taste of the beauty of Heaven comes through.  Too often I am grateful only for the consolations You so often give, and am easily discouraged when You choose not to send them.

Let me always, dear Lord, love You and thank You for You alone, and not for the consolations You give me in my weakness.  Thank You for the times when You make use of me, and also for when you don't, all for Your own purposes.  For I know that You have no need of me, but love me out of Your infinite goodness.

On the final day, may my body and soul find rest in You forever.  I ask this through Mary, the Mediatrix of All Graces.  Amen
