Forty Years Ago: The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald




A bit random, but I read that today marks the fortieth anniversary of the loss of the Edmund Fitzgerald during a major storm on Lake Superior. STLToday has an article about it here, with some past coverage from AP on the rescue efforts, all unsuccessful.

Call me strange, but I still get chills listening to Gordon Lightfoot's haunting song, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Youtubing just for you:
