Forget It

I just read the summary. There is no way for me to discuss it without wigging out.

I think Archbishop Lefebvre understood that, with Vatican II, the "center could not hold". And he was right, basically.

Put another way, "Ideas have consequences" (Richard Weaver).

And now Francis wants the SSPX in as a sort of "beard".

"Year of Mercy" or "Year of Terror"?

Wow, you read the summary. Good for you . . . . Try the whole document, if it isn't too hard for you.

It is the coming out of the closet -- so to speak -- of the just-another-flavor-of-Protestantism that the Church has long since become for most Catholics due to an epidemic failure of leadership at all levels. Inexpressibly sad.

Hey Anonymous:
Yes, I read the summary-- yesterday, the day before the exhortation was released. You know, when it was all that was possible to read. You know, yesterday, the day I wrote this post and the day it was published. That day.

But thanks for the pep talk.

I think anonymous may have meant that in good cheer ...
as in if you can stand it, Tim

traddad,

I thought of that, but came down on the side of the other way as more likely. If so, my apologies, I'm a little on edge today.

I hate the internet.
