Feast of Our Lady's Assumption

Signum mágnum appáruit in caélo:
múlier amícta sóle,
et lúna sub pédibus éjus,
et in cápite éjus
coróna stellárum duódecim.

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

Ps. Cantáte Dómino
cánticum nóvum:
quia mirabília fécit.

Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: because He has done wonderful things.

Glória Pátri, et Fílio,
et Spirítui Sáncto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper,
et in saécula saeculórum.       Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Amazingly, but unfortunately not surprisingly, this is not a day of obligation in the new rite. Might be a good idea to go anyway. High Mass at the Oratory at 6:30 pm.

Happy Feast Day to you and yours!
