Oh No, Another Political Post

Scroll down if this makes you sad.  Two brief items: 1) Pat Buchanan, on the existential threats to the country relevant to this election; and, 2) Gavin McInnes on the existential threats to anyone who opposes Killary Clinton.

I only read the article at the first link (not a big fan of alt-right and Gavin McInnes).

Yes, Donald Trump is like a non-Catholic Buchanan and the US and the world had to get a lot worse before their arguments/ideas made sense to many Americans. In a way, it's good that Trump is not Catholic. His enemies can't hang additional labels on him like antisemitism, etc...

I have read the articles at both links, and am glad I did.

Even allowing for an alt-right orientation on the part of its author, Gavin McInnes's piece is an exceptionally harrowing look at something too many voters do not want to see.

It doesn’t matter what Hillary says and it doesn’t matter what Trump says. We could have the Mr. Perfect that some Catholics seem to want as our candidate, articulate, gaff free and a perfect record, the left owns the narrative, they would turn him into a monster. The Democrats can run a brain damaged seizure prone wife of an impeached former President, refuse to hold press conferences, sit on a stage with a Taliban loving father of a mass killer and they can ally themselves with the BLM extremists. Elections are just for show when one side holds all the power.

The Left owns real estate in the Catholic mind, and we followers of Jesus Christ are just willing actors in the show.
