Feast of St. Therese

Today marks the feast of the Little Flower, also the patron saint of one of my wonderful children.  St. Therese is everything I'm not, but wish to be, virtue-wise.

I think that her inner purity shines through in this, as in so many of her photos-- unlike most saints, we have many photographs of her that are haunting in their beauty.  Sounds cliche, but it does seem to shine through.

St. Therese, pray for us.

We get the joyful prospect tonight of watching a Catholic-in-good-standing lambaste a Protestant apostate Catholic for his opposition to killing babies in the womb and to raising sodomy to the status of a public sacrament, both policies necessitating the abolition of Catholic adoption agencies, hospitals, orphanages and --- ultimately -- churches. Oh joy! St. Theresa de Lisieux, pray for us.
