Easter Tuesday Jury Duty

Christus surrexit! Surrexit vere!

Two days with alternating periods of reflection time and stultifying boredom, reading Graham Greene, surrounded by Man and the civil trappings of what in former times might have been called law, two days into the celebration of Life's triumph over death.

Preparing for total consecration to Mary according to de Montfort. It's a wonder, yet so typical, that it took me this long. Will culminate on May 13-- the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. It's as though Our dear Mother is rounding up a straggler, the rather dim-but-lost-without-her child, hurrying him into the storm cellar before the mother of all tornados hits the house. Praying this week for a true knowledge of self. Jury duty is as good a place as any to find it.

I would ask for your prayers as I prepare, especially from those blessed ones already consecrated to her.

My prayers for all of you.

Sorry for the little interlude. Just seems to all go together somehow. And like I said, I'm sitting in jury duty.

I promise to pray for you in your preparation in thanksgiving
for those who prayed for me when I made mine.
What a glorious day to make the total consecration
to Our Blessed Mother!

God bless you in your consecration to Our Mother.

They really should give lawyers an automatic disqualification. No trial lawyer who isn't insane would allow us to be impaneled

You utterly nailed it....I felt the exact same stirring(?)/urgency(?) late last year...my husband (10 year convert :) and I made out consecration this past Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It has made a TREMENDOUS difference....just be aware; you summon the full attention of the enemy when you do this.

also, if you have not done this yet, DO BY ALL AND ANY MEANS read "True Devotion to Mary" by St. Louie de Montfort as part of your preparation....I found it absolutely necessary in adequately understanding her, and the gravity of what I (we) were about to do.

God bless you....you have my prayers.
