Just a quick update and thank you to everyone who prayed for me this week. I was sick but am much better now. Good news: I didn't have excruciatingly painful stomach flu. Bad news: I had an excruciatingly painful 8 mm gall stone blocking my cystic duct.
One gall badder- ectomy later, I feel much, much better. Will try to blog again by early next week.

Prayed for you at Mass this morning at Queen of the Holy Rosary Academy because Cherie told me. God bless you!!
Deo gratias.
I appreciate your good news/bad news way of relaying what happened to you. May your recooperation be all good news!
Thanks!
Absent a gall bladder, I think Thetimman's posts will be a lot less interesting.
Praying for a speedy recovery. Hope it was a laparoscopy-type. Mine was done that way and healed up very quickly. Unlike you, though, I did not have to endure the gb colic pain : (
One gall badder- ectomy later...
Too funny.
Having gone through the procedure myself, I can relate. Had the exact same thing happen.
For the record, what you had done was a cholecystectomy, but "gall bladder - ectomy" will work in a pinch.
