Prayers for Today

And for the future of this guilty land. I'm sick as a dog but I'll vote (or "vote") somehow.

Mother of God, intercede for us.

Our polling place is a Baptist Church. On the sign as you leave the property is a quote from Corinthians about doing everything for the Glory of God. Amen!

The county GOP web site did not have info on where to vote. But Tammy Duckworth's (D) online polling finder popped up right away. Sure I used it. Stupid Party GOP! It's amazing they win any elections.

Mary Queen of the Americas pray for us.

I take comfort in the realization that today's feastday in the N.O. is that of Bl. John Duns Scotus. His writings were instrumental in the defense of the Immaculate Conception, and the "coincidence" is a helpful reminder for me that, regardless of the outcome, our nation is entrusted to our Lady under the title of the Immaculate Conception. She'll still be caring for us tomorrow.

I hope you get well soon!

Amen. Feel better soon, Timman.

I continue to pray. I try to live a good sacramental life according to my station as an old white guy who has worked since he was in his second year of hs, married to one woman for 27 years, raised to boys to men and sits in his NO Mass week in and week out staring at the corpus. Come Lord Jesus, Come!

If I sound discouraged I am. A Trump win only gives us a few more years of preparation. Maybe that might help a few more souls get a few more chances to repent. I dunno at this point.

The prognostications on FOX are depressing. They are presuming that Trump will lose b/c of exit polling data.

Dear God, help us.

Te Deum laudamus! The last time I felt like this was 7/7/07.

Obviously my comments was before 8 or 9 pm election night. My husband and I were wrecks then we saw the tide might turn. Amazing!
